My 2nd daughter....happy (un)birthday!

I posted about my 1st born the other day, so I have to tell you about my youngest daughter also...I'll forget by October to do this, and then I'll be in trouble! My oldest daughter gave me a reason to live and stand up for myself. My younger daughter gave me joy, and taught me to enjoy this life! Sometimes I have to be reminded, but I am the luckiest person in the world to have the great kids I have. They love me no matter if I am fat or thin, have my hair done or am ugly. I couldn't have asked for a better family than the one I have. I am truly blessed! So, girls, now the whole world (or at least the two or three people that read my blog) know how great you truly are!

What I'm currently reading....

This is a great summer read! It is about a lady who's only son is killed in a car accident, and she agrees to donate his heart to someone who needs a transplant. Several years later she tracks down the recipient. It is easy to read, and moves right along. Her characters are very well developed, and the plot is well done. I think this is her first novel, so she has a great future ahead of her!

Happy Birthday, baby girl!

My oldest daughter turns 17 today. This child changed my life--as any child does, but in wonderful ways. I was in a co-dependent relationship, and when she was born, I finally asked myself...do I want her to be treated the way I am? NO WAY! From that day on, I started standing up for myself and for her. I have wonderful memories from the last 17 years, and look forward to many more in the coming years.

So, happy birthday, baby girl! You mean the world to me!

Thanks, Leigh Ann!

Leigh Ann of SaveLeighAnn had a contest on her weblog, and I won! Now, what did I win? I won a penny that had been stretched and embossed with a happy face and a peace sign and says San Francisco on the bottom of it. I know, it's not the lottery, but hey, it made my day! It was in my mailbox last night, and sure beats bills! Thanks, Leigh Ann! You are a great buddie!

I get by with a little help from my friends...

I have joined a support group of friends I have met over the internet that like to make cards with rubberstamps. We have been dieting together for a week, and I have done really well. I have exercised every day and drank an ocean of water, and have cheated very little. I know I have lost at least 2 pounds this week. The weekend is my worst time, but I am going to try and keep at it.
